Merry Christmas eve! It’s amazing how quickly this year has flown by. So much has happened this year, positive and negative. But I have found many things that soon became my favourites. From beauty to games, bloggers to vloggers and accessories to movies. I tried my best to go out of my usual comfort zone and try some new things. Some which I really didn’t enjoy or like and some that I fell in love with. So let’s jump straight into my 2017 favourites!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance – I have probably used this every day or nearly every day since I got it. You can create so many types of looks from this. From red/pink tones to brown and golden looks. Recently I’ve been using only this. Popping a brown into my crease and blending it out and one of the shimmers all over my lid. Simple but really pretty. I would recommend anyone to get this palette, it’s really worth it.
Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate – So I only got this recently but it’s amazing. I feel like it has really helped hydrate my skin and it feels so luxurious. The nicest face oil I’ve ever tried! It sinks right in and hasn’t irritated my sensitive skin.
LUSH Sleepy – Forever will be a holy grail. This product seriously works wonders. I have so much left as you really don’t need a lot. The nights I can’t sleep at all, I pop a little bit onto my forearms and away to sleep I go. Read my full review >>here<<
The Crown – I understand series 2 has just come out. But I binged watch that in 2 days and it became a fave. Seriously if you enjoy drama, British history and beautiful actors and actresses. This is for you. I surprisingly have learnt a lot about our history from this show and I get sucked into the storyline. If you haven’t watched it get started on series 1 now!!
Justice League – This was such an amazing film. I really enjoyed all the stories coming together. A couple annoyingly I hadn’t seen yet but it wasn’t too difficult to understand what was happening. If you love any of the action superhero films then you’ll love this.
Dua Lipa – I didn’t realise how much I’ll fall in love with her music. I’m pretty sure I’ve listened to her album on repeat 10+ times before. The way she sings, the music, it’s just so enjoyable. I have no other words for it.
Kristee Vetter – The most relatable fitness vlogger ever. I really love how honest and open Kristee is, and how she is just your average 20 something year old, at grad school on her fitness journey. Watching her progress has really inspired me and that’s why I’ve decided to dabble in vlogging my fitness journey in the new year.
Erin Henry – My current inspiration. Erin produces girl boss videos which are not only motivational but very eye-opening. She is probably one of the key ladies to influence my change in blog focus. I got addicted to her goal setting and manifesting videos. She really has taught me a lot in 2017 about self-help and girl bossing.
Teo – He’s a gamer. But a bloody funny gamer. If you like gaming but also like personality and humour. Teo’s the one. He streams for hours on end and I could watch them all. I always end up in tears of laughter and it literally makes me feel like there are no worries in the world.
Clothing & Accessories
Vans Old Skool – I originally disliked these. I thought they were too average and definitely not my style. But I kept seeing Suzie from Hello October style them and fell in love. They add such a contrasting vibe to some outfits. Are surprisingly comfortable (once broken in). And seriously if you get these dirty they can become clean super easily.
M&S Super Skinny Jeans – I used to be a TopShop jeans only girl. But if you’re like me and the thigh section is destroyed in a matter of months the look at M&S. They are proper jeans. They have some give, but nothing like TopShops elastically feeling jeans. They have lasted me soo long. My first pair probably gave me half a year. And so I picked up more. They do get slightly baggy around the knee but popping them in the wash brings them back to their original shape. They are super affordable too, possibly cheaper than TopShop!!
Michael Kors Bag – This little bag has been my go-to ever since I got it. It fits so much in and appears to be super durable. It can fit a purse, camera, phone, phone charger block, makeup, chewing gum, the list is endless. I also love the ability to wear it cross-body or on the shoulder. I’m so happy I invested in this beauty!
So this was my second to last Blogmas post. It’s crazy how I basically nearly did the whole thing. I think I missed 1 or 2 posts which I’m happy with. Don’t forget to sign up for my newsletter which is other there >> and stay updated with all my upcoming organisational, goal setting posts for the new year.
There are many other favourites such as Call of Duty and Rainbow Six Seige, #Girlboss book and Yo Sushi! But this post will get tooo long and boring. I know this might have been an unusual Christmas Eve post but it’s getting time to reflect and whats better than thinking about what you loved the most this year! Let me know what your favourites were and don’t forget to check out my bullet journal set up post!
