5 Reasons Why…

5 Reasons Why…

Hello lovelies, hope you are all having a splendid week! I’m having a very busy week, hence this post. Since starting this year of university my time has been blocked out nearly all day. But, I would much prefer being busy than sitting around doing nothing all day. Like honestly, what a waste of time haha. Unfortunately, 24 hours a day just isn’t enough. I would much prefer 30 hours. Nevertheless, this post is to inform you of what I’m filling my days with. Why I’ve gotten so busy. And honestly, most of it is to become the most employable self I could be.

1 – I’m doing Ultimate Full Body Guide by Carys Gray

My relationship with the gym has been hit and miss. I’ve even posted a previous post of my gym routine. which lasted 2 weeks. And has now been deleted for other reasons. But, you know. It just takes a couple attempts sometimes and then it clicks. Even though my intense gym self-began Monday. I’ve 100% stuck to it. I’ve gone to the gym 3 days in the row and tracking macros – ok I might have lost you, I’ll do a post on my fitness at some point – for two days and that’s been an interesting experience. & these workouts aren’t a mere 30 minutes, it’s a full weight routine which in my busy university gym could last over an hour. However, I’m loving this guide, the support, it is just amazing. I would recommend it to everyone who wants to get fit and wants to incorporate weights into their routine!

2 – It’s my final year of university

If you haven’t gathered I’m a university student. And am currently in my final year of my marketing degree. It has been a rollercoaster but this year is my get stuck down, achieve that 1st year. Not that I wasn’t trying my hardest before, but I’m really really really determined this year. Anddddd, I also have my dissertation. Which my title is VERY interesting, I believe you all will love it:

An investigation into the effectiveness of social influencers within the beauty industry.

So my time has been filled with reading, researching, writing, group projects and we are only in the third week. But if this is what it takes to get a first, then I’ll continue doing it!

3 – I’m a president of a society/course representative

So I’m not only studying for a degree. I’m volunteering as a president of the business society. Which surprisingly takes a huge chunk of my time up. And then I’m also a course rep, which takes up time here and there. But I ran for these positions to better my CV, but they also are improving me as a person. I would recommend doing roles like this if you are at university. They improve you, are rewarding and you can build your network.

4 – Trying to keep up with my blog

Even though I’ve dropped my blog posts from 3 to 2, blogging is something that is still very time consuming and ends up being put off until last minute. I’m trying my hardest to not drop below 2 posts, honestly, it’s very difficult not to. Genuinely I love blogging. I find it very relaxing, I love taking photos, editing and writing. And this is why I’m trying my hardest to fit my passion into my lifestyle. That is why it’s 4:30 p.m. and even though I started work at 7:30 a.m., been to the gym and had group meetings I am writing today’s post. When I could be relaxing in a bath. I also love reading others blogs and Instagramming, but again very time-consuming. Really I should schedule in time dedicated to ‘blogging duties’. I’m awaiting my Dot Creates planner, and this is when I’ll certainly plan each hour.

5 – Oh, and I work

Who thought uni, blogging and extracurricular volunteering wasn’t enough for one to be doing. I decided to work this year as well. Probably one of the stupidest decisions I’ve made. But all money I make is being saved. That’s the biggest pro to it. And, thankfully, I only work 9 hours a week and I definitely won’t be doing any overtime anytime soon. If all of that isn’t enough. I haven’t even got around to chores, generally living and being. I’ve had to start waking up at 6 a.m., and I’m even considering making that 5 a.m.

Ahh, it’s kinda stressful writing all of that out. And if you honestly don’t think that’s a lot, then please let me know your schedule and PLEASE give me tips on how to manage this all!!

Unfortunately, I don’t gave any tips for you, but I do wish you the best of luck! I guarantee you’ll look back on this year and wonder how the hell you managed it, but you’ll also be super proud of everything you managed to achieve and rightfully so.. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you, for that first! 🙊

You seem like such a hard working individual and the fact you have a blog and you consistently post shows that you’re a credit to this field. You’re extra dedication to blogging really shows.Although I’m also a 3rd year student and balancing uni work and blogging, I still struggle and you seem to do it with such grace! Great work Lily xx

I’d love to read a post on your fitness! I’ve not long started up too so it’d be cool to read from someone that’s starting back up as well. Would love to see more of what you eat in a day when you’re being healthy as well as I need meal ideas haha. Take care of yourself, girl! x

Gosh, good luck Lily!! I really admire and applaud you for working so hard and I’ve no doubt you’ll reap the benefits from it eventually! Is it weird that I’m oddly jealous of you for being able to do all of this!? I miss being busy!

Woow! You go girl, you are doing soo much and you’re doing it well! I was told I was very organized in uni as I was studying, working and my blog! I don’t know how I do it though… I need to get into a better routine, with changing jobs I haven’t been able to figure it out yet.

Just keep going! All this hard work will pay off… During uni is always been the most challenging time for me i think – its the managing and juggling everything at once. But you’ll find your feet and feel so proud that you done it too!

My 3rd year at uni was super stressfull and I didn’t even have my blog back then. I have put all my time and energy into my dissertation, work and binge-watching Grey’s Anatomy, because why not. It’s all worth it in the end – I got a first on my dissertation and graduated with a first as well! Good luck to you with everything, well done so far!

This is a similar position I was in in my last year of uni and now that I’ve stared my masters except I’m working 25-45 hours a week! My tips would be plan everything and utilise all your space time getting the things you need to do done in a list of priorities x

You go girl! Whenever I have a lot going on I make a lot of lists which usually helps. Also remember to take breaks even when you’re busy – give your brain a small break and you’ll be able to get even more things done. I hope this helps! :)x

Mate you are doing so much it makes my head spin. I always do my workouts in the morning then it’s out of the way… write posts at the weekend to schedule through the week and then that takes most the pressure off! X
