It’s November. ~what the heck~ where has this year gone? As it comes to the end of 2017. Why not fit in some more achievements into this year. I’m not going to use this post as a reflection as expect that at the end of the year where hopefully some of these things that I’ll discuss will feature!
Not all of these are going to be crazy big. As honestly, I’m a uni student with very little time to be doing something crazily amazing such as skydiving. So they are going to range from little too mildly okay accomplishments.
1. Complete no spend November *successfully*
I’ve set a very strict rule to not spend any money on myself in regards to anything other than essentials. The essentials include food and toiletries. I’m being very strict. I’ve had a good splurge over September-October, so now its time to cut down. I am letting myself buy Christmas presents for others if I see something that’d be perfect. The thing is that its mine and my boyfriends 5 year anniversary, so a nice date night might be the exception but that will be all ~and it’s at the end of the month anyway.
2. Finish this term by achieving 1st – high 2:1 in all of my coursework
So if you have been following my twitter >>here<< then you would see how determined I am to get a first this year. Literally, my work ethic has increased greatly. Study for hours on end, meeting with academics 100x more than usual. I feel like this is the year that my overall grade will hit the 70, and therefore I’ll graduate with a first. My second term of the second year, I got 2 2:1’s at 68/100 and the other 5 bits of coursework at strong firsts. This shows that I have the potential. It’s just continuously improving and being determined.
3. Hit some nice stat goals across my socials and blog
So realistically numbers do mean something, of course, they do. I’m a numbers girl. But the past couple months have been rather poop and that’s due to starting university again and trying to figure out how I’ll squeeze blogging into my rather busy study schedule. I would love to achieve 2.5-3k on Twitter, 1k on Insta (so unrealistic, so gimme a follow), see a bit more growth on my Bloglovin’, Facebook and Pinterest. But my main goal is to increase numbers on Covet Luxe. I would love to finish 2017 with 8-10k all-time views and maybe 2-3k average monthly views.
4. Workout 2-3 times a week
This was something I mentioned in my first ever blog post on my old free site, you can check it out >>here<<. And basically, 2017 hasn’t been the year of my new gym body. But the start of the academic year I was on it with the gym. But as my workload has increased my time spent at the gym has decreased. I’m making it 1-2 times a week which I’m just not ok with. So if I can hit 2-3 times I’ll be so much happier. I really enjoy going to the gym. It’s me time. And I 100% recommend it to people who get stressed. I pop a video or two on and cycle away and bam, calories burnt. And doing an intense leg session is soo satisfying to me.
5. Consider doing blogmas – if this is done I’ll feel sooooooooo proud of myself
Ok, so I keep pondering on this idea. And it would be so cool if I could do this. Just imagine all the amazing christmasy content I could produce. As Christmas is my favourite time of the year, Halloween just kinda sucks for me. I would love to be apart of the blogmas gang *is this even a thing*. I do have a reading week next week. Which I intend to spend most of it working on my coursework. But I also intend to spend some of it working on my blog. Churning out some scheduled posts so that when deadlines hit, I’m not sat up at night writing out a post, which is exactly what I’m doing now. So, would you like that? 25 days of Covet Luxe posts? Or do you think I should just play it safe with 2 posts a week like normal? Lemme know!
So I hope you liked this more personal post. I bloody enjoy writing them. As sometimes makeup can get repetitive even though I do love me some lipstick and eyeshadow content. And don’t get me started on skincare, just did a massive haul before no spend November so can’t wait to share with you what I got!
