Are you feeling festive yet? You better start soon as we are only day 2 of Blogmas! I really hoped you enjoyed reading my first post, I loved discussing my favourite parts of Christmas time. You can check that out >>here<<. It is known that December is the month of parties, and what better than party makeup. I love being able to pop on a red lip and glitter eye and rock it this time of year. I do unfortunately lack in Christmas parties to attend. So hopefully you can recreate this party makeup look for when you attend a party of your own.
Christmas Party Makeup Look
Honestly, this look is super simple. It’s surprising this limited amount of products I used. So I started with a fresh base, toned and moisturised. I then popped my Benefit Porefessional all over and my Urban Decay Primer Potion on my lids. I then start with the brows. I’m currently using the Eylure X Fleur De Force brow powder and applied it with a Zoeva 322.
Now it’s eyeshadow time. I realised I lack silver glitter/shimmer shadows, so I’ll pop that on my Christmas list. So I ended up choosing to use Urban Decay Naked 2 and Naked Basics. I blended Naked 2 all over my lid and then deepened the crease and outer corner with Faint using a Zoeva 227, both from the basics palette. To create a define glitter ‘cut crease’ I applied concealer to the inner corner of my lid. Then I dampened my Naked 2 brush with NYX setting spray and pressed on Verve from the Naked 2 palette. I blended it all together with Faint and we were done. I also applied Tanya Burr’s Selfie Lash (obsessed!).
With my base, I just patted in Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder with a Zoeva 106, but if you’re a foundation girl then apply that and then some powder. I used Hoola to contour/bronze with a Zoeva 127 and blended it out with a Real Techniques blush brush. To get a popping highlight I wetted my Zoeva 105 with the NYX setting spray and swirled it into Sleek equinox. To finish the look off I applied a red lip, as that’s the best part of Christmas time. I used MAC Russian Red and cleaned the edges up with concealer. And lastly spritzed setting spray to keep it in place throughout the night.
I really hope you enjoyed this Christmas party makeup look and if you do recreate it don’t forget to share it with me! And don’t forget I’m posting every day this month so the best way to keep up with me is by signing up for my newsletter or following me on Twitter or Instagram. Have a lovely Christmas,
