There’s one person we always seem to neglect: ourselves. And in 3 Ways To Make Time For Yourself I talk about taking time out for ourselves is essential. But sometimes, we just need a night to give ourselves some TLC. Seeing as our lives are constantly getting busier, why not take some time out for a bit of self-love? No matter what you’re doing, wherever you are, these tips will be super helpful in planning the best self-love night you’ve ever had. And don’t feel guilty for taking some time alone, to focus on you.
Watch a movie
This is the perfect chance to just watch something new or even one of your favourites. Popping on a good movie whilst eating some good food is the perfect way to spend your evening. No time to think about anything else except enjoying what’s happening. My recent favourite movies have been The Greatest Showman and Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle. Or if you are a series lover, I’d recommend Stranger Things or Black Mirror. One of the best ways to watch at home and still get that cinema experience is with an Oled TV by Panasonic with their 4K Ultra HD experience, you’ve basically got your own home cinema, just pop some popcorn on and away you go! Take a bath
There’s nothing better than running a bath filled with bubbles and salts (great for those with muscle pains) and laying in it for hours. If you don’t have any bath products, put a few drops of essential oils in, it’ll really help you relax and feel zen. And don’t forget to fill the room with candles. It’ll make it extra spa-like and will make the most of your self-love evening.
If your phone is buzzing every couple minutes or you still have a million things on your to-do list to complete, you’ve set your night up for disaster. Get all your tasks done by latest 6-7pm, and don’t forget to turn your phone onto do not disturb. This will help you to have a clear mind and focus on yourself 100%! And trust me, don’t feel guilty for having some you time, remember it’s all about self-love.
Prepare for the week and month
Spending some time organising the upcoming weeks will help you feel more prepared. Don’t go too crazy. Just plan in some big chores, any major events and don’t forget your self-love nights. I really like writing to-do lists for the next day as I feel so great once I’ve accomplished it all. You could also set some goals for yourself, go to the gym 4 times a week or eat green veggies with every dinner. This will just help you have something to aim towards, and you can always reflect on this every self-love night.
Popping a face and hair mask on always makes me feel zen. And you really can’t do too much when you’re smothered in creams and oils. So this is the perfect time to just chill out, watch the movie and relax. Not only will you feel calm, you’ll have amazing looking hair and skin. I honestly don’t know anyone who doesn’t feel zen after having a pamper session.
