Who doesn’t love a liquid lipstick? They have been the go-to for many of us this year. And with brands just bringing out some amazing formulas, we just can’t help to lust over. Personally, I’m still a huge lover of my ~ OG ~ MAC lipsticks. But HUDA Beauty has made me slightly obsessed with the liquid life. And to be honest, before HUDA I really didn’t like liquid lipsticks. Either they are not the right colour or I haven’t got on with the formula. But today we are here to talk about my mini collection. I’ve done a post on my favourite lipsticks a while ago which you can check out >> here <<
NYX Liquid Lipsticks
NYX is a brand I’ve ended up loving for everything BUT their liquid lipsticks. I just can’t get on with them. It might be the colours or the formulas, but they just don’t seem to work. The top swatch is the Lingerie range, embellishment, and I liked the formula. This one was quite patchy though, so a couple coats are needed. But the colour, I just don’t like it. As you can tell it’s nothing like my others, and it was a risky purchase. The next two are the soft matte liquid lipsticks in Monte Carlo and San Paulo. I like the colours they are quite bold. Nevertheless, the formula wasn’t for me. It was too wet, took forever to dry and was too hard to apply. Please, if you have tried NYX liquid lipsticks and have a fave, let me know below. *fingers crossed* I find one I like!
Rimmel & Bourjois Liquid Lipstick
Ok, these are polar opposites for me. One I love the other not so much. So let’s begin with the latter. Bourjois Ole Flamingo was a risky purchase for the girl who loves a pinky nude. It’s bright pink ~ honestly, why did I purchase this? The main downfall is the shade, it also stays wet as you can see (fourth shade from my wrist). Which for me is super annoying as my hair just gets stuck in it. Ok, now let’s talk about my new fave. Rimmel Stay Matte in Blush is beaut! The colour is actually perfect. Also, love how it applies, love the formula. *gimme more* This dries to matte so quickly which I just love about it – defo recommend!
HUDA Beauty Liquid Lipsticks
I won’t ramble on about this for too long as I have a whole dedicated post to them which you can read >>here<<. But I would say if you are unsure get the mini kit. It has allowed me to experiment with shades I might never have worn. I love Sugar Mamma, it has become one of my go-to liquid lipsticks. Also, they do last a good time on the lip, but with food and drink, they do budge.
There we are! My liquid lipstick collection. It was slightly bigger before I put this up but I cleared out a couple due to having them for years and they were just too far gone. What are you favourite liquid lipsticks? Let me know below!
